How do you roast it? In the oven?

Roasted Cauliflower Soup from KBD Entertains. Or cauliflower "pop corn" from the same recipe book.

Try something called Popcorn Caulifower:

1-2 heads cauliflower cut into florets
6-8 TBLS oil
1/4-1/2 tsp of the following - onion powder, garlic powder, salt, sugar, paprika, turmeric (it makes the cauliflower yellow so it looks like popcorn)
mix together and pour of florets

roast at 450 for 20 -30 minutes. The cauliflower should start to get brown.

This is not the exact recipe. I kind of play with the spices depending on the amount of cauliflower.

It's easy and yummy. Even my kids eat it.

Enjoy!

yum the cauliflower popcorn recipe is really good
it seems like a shame to go through the bother of checking fresh just to mash it or turn it into soup.
I'd say do the popcorn thing or serve it raw with some other veggis and a dip

My kids love cauliflower with vinegar and salt. You could also replace it with lemon juice. The recipe calls for garlic and oil but they like it with just the vinegar and salt.

Cut into smallish florets, dip in egg & seasoned/flavored breadcrumbs & deep fry. We call it "special chicken" (long story). Delish!

You can sometimes get bug free fresh cauliflower here. I assume thats what strawberry has because I have never seen the non bug free sold fresh and I don't think it can be checked properly anyway.

I didn't use a recipe or measurements this time, but it came out great! Smile

Boil cauliflower until soft, and drain. Make a roux with equal parts margarine and flour (I think about 3/4 cup of each?) and gradually add about a gallon (3 liters) of milk while stirring. Add cauliflower and use an immersion blender until combined. Add salt and pepper to taste.
