No way. I used to sew socks but they bother the kids' feet. Totally not worth it. Once in a while you just gotta replace socks and underwear; they don't last forever.

How would one even go about mending pantyhose, assuming you're referring to the sheer kind? Even tights, other than the heavy cotton or wool knit ones, I don't get.
I don't repair socks; I throw them out. My son's socks, eg, are 5 pairs for $7, or $1.40 a pair (70 cents a piece). Does it pay me to spend time repairing something I can replace for 70 cents? My time is worth a lot more than that.
