My 2 year old gets car sick even on short car rides. Does anyone have any suggestions of how to help him? Thank you.

my two year old daughter suffers the same way. it's reached the stage where we literally don't go in the car for months at a time. I don't drive - I walk almost everywhere so for the most part this arrangement is fine.
Here are some things which 'buy her time' ie I know that now we can ride for an hour whereas before I implemented these tricks she would throw up after just five minutes.
1) make sure your son can see out of the window. I sit next to my dd and draw her attention to the outside world (look! there's a bus! a bike! a dog!)
2) make sure he's not too warm. I'm mean: I make my dd travel in her nappy and undershirt, covered with a blanket on cooler days (this also helps to ensure there is less to clean up if the inevitable does happen)
3) take loads of carrier bags, tissues, baby wipes for Just In Case.
4) I never give milk for at least a few hours before we need to travel.
