How do you make a link clickable in a post, like writing "read here" and have it going to another site?

Just copy and paste in the link.
If you want to be more fancy then you can do the following. It will hide the web site address and only display the text you enter.
If it is not working then perhaps you have some code disabled in your personal settings?
[url=websiteAddress]text I want to display[/url]
