I used to be able to put him in around 630ish.Now he can stay up till 830-9 and still be up bright and early 630-7ish. It also takes him a while to fall asleep so I feel bad putting him in before 8. is this too late?

depends on naps during the day.

My dd takes a short (30 min) or no nap, and goes to bed around 6:30-7, and is up ~6-7a. If she takes a longer nap (which some days she'd LOVE to do), she'd be up until ~8-8:30p.

I can put my 2.5 yr old to bed at 8 and he'll still be awake for quite a while. It does make a difference if he has a nap in the day and those are not so regular anymore. He wakes around 6AM give or take a bit.

My toddler doesn't nap in playgroup, so he is out by 6:15-6:30 and till 6ish. Even if he gets a nap on Shabbos / Sunday, I still do not change his bedtime, since his body is already used to a certain routine.

6:30-7 the latest. it doesn't matter how early she might get up in the morning, it is not possible to let her stay up any later.

Between 6.30 - 7 depending on how tired she is, she doesn't nap during the day and wakes up between 6.30 - 7 too. At that age they need to be getting somewhere approx between 11-13 hours sleep depending on the kid, so you need to work out with her nightime sleep and nap how much she's getting. But if she's fighting sleep at night, it might be a sign to reduce/cut out the nap.

If she hasn't napped she is out cold between 6 & 7. If she has napped (she can do 2-3 hours) she goes in between 8:30 & 9.

so, right now, I've been having trouble getting him to sleep, so it's when dh comes home from shul which has gotten earlier, so 7:15pm. I find if he goes to sleep later(like 8:30-9pm), he doesn't wake up on his own in the morning and is cranky.

still takes a 2 hour nap. And gets up in the morning at around 7am.

My son is 2, but I figured I'll answer anyhow.
If he naps, which is once to three times a week, generally, even if the nap is for 2 minutes (meaning, I wake him up as soon as he shuts his eyes) or its up to 2 hours, he goes to sleep between 8:30 and 9:30 pm, wakes up at 7:30 am.
If he doesnt nap, he goes to sleep between 6:30 and 7:30, and wakes up between 6 and 7:30 in the morning.
