I have a photo which has some people in the backgound which I would like to erase, how can I erase it and make the hole where they were blend into the picture? (not sure if I explained this clearly)
Thanks

I am assuming the background is pretty much just a texture;
1) Make a duplicate layer of the picture.
2) Make a 3rd layer of a contrasting color of your choice and sandwich it between the 2 photo layers.
3) Use eraser tool to erase background people from the top layer (you should see your contrasting layer as you erase).
4) Duplicate the top layer (now you have 4 layers).
5) On the layer just below the top layer use the clone stamp to paint with other parts of the backround.
After you like what you see you can merge all the layers.
If the background is more complex, you can carefully select the people you want using the lasso, quick selection tool, or whatever works for you -- but none of the background -- and cut and paste them onto a different background.

If you have 'Microsoft Digital Image Suite' you can simply draw a line around the area of the photo that u want to get rid of, select 'blur' then 'guassian blur' in the 'touchup' menu. You have a scale from 0-100% where u can choose the intensity of the blur.
Its really great, I've used it lots! 8)
