So what is the highest fever one of your kids has run? We just beat our personal best. The record is now 105.8, yay! How about the rest of you?

I'm actually afraid to say.
It was very very high when my son had pneumonia.

105.5 was the highest any of my kids have gone. The first time it happened I was totally shaking because I have never seen a child with such a high fever radiating heat, but apparently my MIL said that this was very common for her family to have such high fevers when they were sick, just regular strep or ear infection. Now, I don't get alarmed any more, just alternate Motrin with Tylenol.

Dd#2 gets 105 and has febrile seizures. This used to happen every time she had an ear infection or anything. B"H it hasn't happened lately, B"li Ayin Hara.

dd#2 had 105.3 with the flu last winter. She was so pathetic looking. I cried just looking at her.
