For those of you that use a separate, portable burner for Pesach did you have an indicator light electrically installed so that you would be able to raise or lower the temperature on Yom Tov?
In Rabbi Blumenkrantz's book he says that this is necessary to adjust the temperature for electric cooktops.
My Rav advised me to use a separate burner for Pesach b/c he said in general it is just preferable. I am wondering if it is worth it and whether or not I should just kasher my stovetop b/c I want to be able to use a stovetop on Yom Tov and I do not know anything about getting this indicator light installed.
Does any one use a separate burner and if so, what do you do?

You have to do what's best for you.
