1 bag medium noodles cooked
5 eggs lightly beaten
1/4 - 1/2 cup oil
1 cup sugar
1 pkg. vanilla sugar
3 tablespoons lemon juice
raisins - optional
fruit cocktail - optional - if you use this (I always do) use the cocktail in syrup and pour some of the syrup in too.

mix all the ingredients together
mix in the cooked noodles

bake at 350 for 1 hour uncovered
cover and let steam

I make this all the time, really easy and really yummy!

A whole can fruit cocktail? How much syrup?

Depends how much fruit you like. If you buy a small can you can probably use the whole can or if not most of it. If you buy the big can you can use half. I sometimes double the recipe and use a whole big can. I use most of the syrup too. (sorry no real measurements). This recipe happens to freeze extremely well.

I don't know the Meal Mart kugel but the Balabustes Choice has a sweet kugel that I added raisins to that calls for a lot of creamer, covered, then uncovered. Brought back memories of store kugel that I had as a kid.

Have others tried this kugel? If anyone has a really good Lukshen Kugel that they already posted, or can post, please offer link or post. TIA
