Last night, while doing our weekly grocery shopping, I bought half a pound of good cold cuts.
It was mistakenly left out all night (put in the Pesach boxes by mistake!) but it was in a cool house.
Should I toss it? Will it smell off if it's bad?

I would eat it if it smells fine.

I don't take chances. there are especially high levels of bacteria on coldcuts (from deli counters) so even if they smell fine there's still a chance they can be bad. especially now that it hasn't been that cold at night...

But then again, coldcuts also contain so much preservatives, that you're probably OK

If you told me it had been out a few hours I might tell you to keep it, but if it was out the whole night it needs to be chucked.

I would throw out ANY perishable food left out overnight, cooked or raw.

I agree with Lovemy2kids & anyone else who said toss it. Meat & fish are not the kind of things to be kept out of the fridge too long if they are defrosted.

Did you throw it away or eat it? I would definitely have thrown it away. Coldcuts really require refrigeration.
