I purposely made extra rice for dinner last night, and planned to rewarm it tonight. Now I'm thinking maybe that was a mistake. Will it get dried out if I rewarm it? Do I need to add water or a bit of oil or something? I can't just add it to the sauce, because everyone likes a different proportion (sauce with rice, rice flavored with sauce, etc).
Any advice?

I brown onions and then add cooked rice to it to heat it up.

I was thinking of just doing it simply and putting it in the oven, covered, for a bit to warm it. Would that work the same?

put a tablespoon of water to the covered rice ... lowest flame - and go back to stir several times ... so the water steams up and the entire pot is warmed up ... add more water as necessary ...

Just cover it tightly and don't keep it in the oven too long, and I think it should be ok.

The best way to reheat rice is to add a very small amount of water, put a clingfilm and microwave. It should taste just like freshly made rice.
