Do you put in sugar in yours? I don't but recently had a huge argument with a friend about this. (I like it more spicy).

The packaged kind has lots of horrible things that I wouldn't put in mine.

The purple lubavich cookbook (spice & spirit) has a delicious homemade kishke recipe, it does not have sugar in it.

I make that one too, and it's delicious.
But dh and I agreed that next time I make it, I should add sugar to it, or serve it drizzled with honey.

That's the recipe I make as well. I don't add any sugar b/c I like it savory. I add onion salt to it. IMO, it needs more salt than the recipe calls for.
