My husband and I are looking to go away for a long weekend, or even 1-2 days and night during the week. We are in PA and I imagine dh would drive a few hours, but nowhere too far. If over shabbos, we'd need it to be kosher. we hope to leave the kids with my parents and take our first night ever together away from the kids since my son was born 4.5 years ago.
Any ideas? (keep in mind, we've never been anywhere, so all suggestions welcome).

Now in the winter? plus kosher food?
The Poconos is a nice place they have kosher food but I don't think shabbos food.
Maybe just go to a kosher hotel? there's one in the Mountains 1 in Connecticut...

1. Deal, New Jersey...there are minyonim, many kosher options, boardwalk, etc. You can stay in the Ocean Place Hotel and Spa or there is a Sheraton there as well.
2. Atlantic City, New Jersey...you can stay in a Sheraton there if you prefer not to sleep in a hotel that has a casino. DH and I have gone although we don't gamble. There is a boardwalk, Ripleys Believe it or Not, boutiques in one of the hotels and outlets on the street. Also a kosher pizza shop and Sharies, a meat restaurant. Even for a non-gambler, casinos have nice decor and are fun to visit by day or night if you like. (Not looking to get attacked for that comment, if you think that is inappropriate, don't go, it's just an activity suggestion).
3. Manhattan...you can book a hotel outside of the City if you want to save $$, or priceline it, there is plenty to do, walk, see, shop, eat, YOU WILL NOT BE BORED!!!

do you know what the hotel is called?
I don't davka need kosher but then I'd go for a day and night. I'm not going to go for shabbos to a place where I have no access to kosher and then bring e/t with me, that wouldn't be worth the effort.
I'm also checking totallyjewishtravel.com

There is a radisson hotel that very often has shabbos events that are catered. I don't know if it is a vacation more then going away (like I don't know what there is to do in the area).
I think this is the one that does it: 732-980-0400. You can call and see when they are doing the next kosher shabbos. I'd think there would probably be one for President's weekend.
