I want to make chickpeas for my babies to eat, and wondering, do chickpeas come raw? do they only come canned?

They certainly can be bought raw. They come in a bag, & you'd find them next to the bags of beans, barley etc.

you can by them in the container although I know like tuv taam makes them but I would double check they might have seasoning on them

Note that they'll be dried, and thus need soaking and then cooking.

Of course they come raw, you'll find them alongside all the dried beans. You need to soak it overnight and then cook until tender. You should rinse it several times to get all the gassy stuff out. If you want a recipe for delicious homemade chummos just let me know.

Make sure you cook them soft enough so they are not a chocking hazard for babies due to their round shape.
