I have a pepper grinder, but prefer the pre-ground variety. I always choke on the pepper mill pepper.

I'm not a gourmet cook, but I ONLY use fresh-ground black pepper!! it's so much better than the pre-ground stuff, it just livens up any dish. try it with salads especially. )
