Is it a mitzva to bake challah if it's not enough dough to take challah on?
I've come to the conclusion that the only way I'll be able to fit in challah baking is to make a small amount on Friday.
I used to make a big batch once a month, but I just don't have such a big chunk of time anymore.
Anyone ever try making a big batch of dough and freezing?

you can make a big batch, let rise once, punch down, shape loaves, then freeze. defrost and let rise a second time before baking.

I've frozen from a big batch and it came out fine. I've frozen raw and baked loaves.
I was at a shiur where the question came up if it is better to bake challah less often w/ a bracha or every Friday (also an inyan) w/o a bracha and the answer given was to do whatever will be better for the mother - make her more calm.
