I want to make rich's whip for a dessert for the second day of yontif. Can I whip it up today and will it stay good until Wednesday? So basically:

How far in advance can I whip up rich's whip so that I can serve it and it'll be good?

Where should I store it? Fridge? Freezer?

If freezer, does it need to thaw before serving?

Thanks!

I don't know the answers to all your q's, but I do know that adding some vanilla pudding mix to the whip while whipping it helps it retain the stiffness.
If no one gets back on this, I'd guess the fridge over the freezer--I think it might break down when defrosting.

She wants to whip it erev yomtov and use it a day or 2 later.

For the record, it's much better fresh.

You CAN whip it ahead of time and store it in the fridge. But isn't it kitniyot? (Or are you Sefardi, or is the stuff in the U.S. different from what they sell here?)

they make a special kosher lepesach run of richs whip.
My cousin would whip it, make mounds on a cookie sheet with a pastry bag and freeze. then she had a nice piece to put on each dessert.

It may last a day or so in the fridge, but after that it starts to disintegrate.

Thanks everyone. So far I think I'll try Shanie's reply and freeze some mounds of it, and also use the vanilla pudding mix if I can get my hands on some before I make it (probably not though). And guess what, I'm making it to go with chocolate mousse. (made me think of chocolate moose Smile )

If you know any tricks for whipping it up on a yontif, pls let me know. Smile Smile
