It's not the last chance. It's lechachila to say it during Nissan but not forbidden to say it afterwards. Some trees don't bloom for another month or so.

It says in my siddur that the brocha should be said once a year in the spring;as far as I'm aware Spring doesn't begin and end in Nissan.
I have yet to find a fruit tree to say it on.
