I'm also back on track after Pessach. I'm not sure how much I want to lose. From 2.5 kilos to 5? depends on how hard it will be I guess.

I'm on as well! Every time I lose some, I then lose control again. It's like taking two steps forward, 1 1/2 steps back Exploding anger Maybe we should try some sort of competition?

I am up for joining. I need to start keeping an eating log again. I was never good with exact numbers. I would write something like I had a cheese sandwich and not how many calories or grams it was. I need to start the log again and weigh myself weekly. Once again, I will write what I eat without the exact measurements. Check out http://www.chartjungle.com/health.html . I use the chart that says "Food / Water Chart (8 glasses) ."

high prot low cal low carb low sugar. Ready made stuff (pasta, cakes, bars, etc). I'm told it doesn't exist outside of France and the lady (Jewish) wants to start selling her stuff in America. A lot of it is kosher, some even hechshered.

I'd like to join in on this, please. Age has caught up with my "eat anything, stay skinny" metabolism and the doctor and I agreed that losing some weight would be good.

I used my doctor's BMR chart (basal metabolic rate) to see how many calories I need to stay alive (bottom base amount). Turns out to be a lot fewer than I've been eating! So now I'm trying to watch what I eat and forget about desserts and snacks (other than fruit and veggies) and see what happens.

I've been logging what I eat at MyFitnessPal.com for a whole week. This is the first time I've ever tried to lose weight, first time I've ever tried to keep a food diary.

By the way, any recommendations for a good, inexpensive scale? Weighing myself at the doctor's once a year won't tell me if this dieting stuff is working - Thanks!

Also, there are no extra calories in Shabbos food, right? Very Happy I think I can stay off sweets during the week if I can have my Shabbos brownie.
