I've done the chocolates and the plaques and the baskets and what not already in the past. This doctor has been with us for many years now, and given us wonderful personal service. My pp appt. is coming up now, and I don't want to go empty handed BUT/HOWEVER my resources (financially) are low.

any ideas or suggestions?

Would you consider a dozen roses or a plant? That's what I'd love to get.

The gift doesn't have to break the bank. The idea is to show your appreciation.

whoa I never realized that it's a thing to give gifts to ones OB. yikes, was I supposed to? Does everyone do this or only if you had some special treatment from her, and a warm relationship? When do you give the gift? after you have a baby or for certain times of year?
I'm starting to feel bad that I never gave my ob/gyn a gift.

But OP, I'm thinking that if it's after he/she delivered your baby, you can give a picture of your baby or all your kids (that he delivered) in a cute litte frame. don't know if thats wierd. Like I said I never even heard of this before.

My OB hangs up all the pictures of babies he delivered, so I write a nice note and enclose a picture.

One of my kids was delivered by a midwife, and I bought her a book at B&N-something about how doctors touch the lives of those they help, etc.
