I've been using the same bread machine and same challah recipe for over a year. The past couple of months, my dough has been heavier than usual, and not rising as much as it used to. I'm using the same brand ingredients as always; I can't think of anything I'm doing differently. Any ideas?

Where do you let your challahs rise?
Now in the summer, your ac is on and may be blowing right on your rising dough. The dough needs to rise in a warmer temp. I usually let my dough rise in the oven (the oven is off) with the light on (for added warmth).
Good luck!
