What does your ENT say?
What it means, IIRC (we had this in our boys) that behind the drum fills with fluid, which pressures the ear drum, causing it to erupt. You need to find out why there is the fluid (bad drainage?) and what can be done about it.
Have you checked the allergy route?

she is having gromits (tubes) put in but seen as this is the uk its only going to be done in about six weeks time. and yes at the moment she is off gluten, milk and soya and im also waiting to see an allergy specialist but again seen as this is the uk I have a long wait. (I tried to have the tubes done privately but no private hospital here will do it for a kid so young)
I just wondered if anyone has any ideas while im waiting for her operation.

first of all antibiotics, second of all ear drops, I had this with 2 of my kids, it very difficult. second of all put a pillow under the mattress in the crib to keep the baby's head up rather than down.

other ideas, no bottles or paccifiers, try garlic but ask the dr. first. Even after my kids got tubes we had this problem and it still occurs once in a while even though my kids are older now and it's not allergy related at all.

lots of luck.

ill try put a pillow thanks for the suggestion. she is on more antibiotics now and the dr took a swab to see what sort of bacteria it is.
she only has a bottle about once and day but she does have a pacifier but I cant survive without its its a life saver. does it really make a difference?
