I just had a baby girl and we need a name by tonight! There are a few that I like but DH is not crazy about any of them. I need to give him a list of names and tell him: these are the names that exist; choose one!
We can't do any of the Imahos since those are taken in the family.
Please help me make a list!
These are the requirements:
1) No Yiddish names (only Hebrew and nothing very Israeli)
2) No names with "ch" in them
3) No name that starts with a boy's name - ex. AVIgail, ELIsheva, DANIella (DH doesn't like them)
Here are some; please add:
Adina
Shira
Ahuva
Meira
Tova
Shifra
Miriam
Yael
Devorah

Doesn't Meira also start with a boy's name?
How about Shoshana?
Esther?
Aviva?
Basya/Batya?
Zahava?
Aliza?
Dina?
If I think of any more, I'll add.

Adin, Shir, Ahuv, Meir, Tov are boys names.
Also Shoshan, Aviv, Zahav, Aliz, Tzipor and Yehudi... (they may be rare, but they exist as boy name).

Yeah, but that's just boy versions of girls' names. Like when people add a heh to a boys names to make it feminine.

Thanks so much for all the ideas! There are many that are taken already in the family, but I am writing all the other ones down. Please keep 'em coming!

We will probably do Yocheved as a second name, so the first name has to go with it (that's why no "ch" names since I don't want 2 of them).
I really like Avigayil, but DH doesn't like the Avi part. I'll try to keep you posted about what happens.
