Can I substitute whipped cream for whipping cream that needs to be whipped?
Is it the same thing?
has anyone experimented with this before?

whipping cream is what you whip up to make whipped cream.

B"H
I happen to prefer the whipping cream (besides for the fact that I can't get Kosher whipped cream where I live:)). The whipping cream tends to stay stiff longer while I find that the whipped cream melts a lot sooner.
Also, a tip about whipping cream - it can be refrozen after it's whipped if needed, and it stays good.
