I'm making a dairy sheva brachos for my BIL. I have a menu (more or less), but I'm looking for side dishes that aren't so dairy heavy for those of us who don't want to overdo it on the cheese. Wink Any ideas?

TIA!

Maybe if you share your menu, we'd have a better idea of what side dishes would go nicely with your main ones?

Some ideas are:
orzo
grilled veg lasagna (no cheese)
grilled veggies
wild rice
bourekas (potato, mushroom, etc)
salads: regular, tomato, spinach, coleslaw

Hope that helps

Definately let us know what your menu looks like so far, so we can make suggestions accordingly.

My menu so far: various quiches (carrot, zucchini, etc), penne a la vodka, rolls, caesar salad, possibly a raw veg platter with dips.

I think I'll also make potato bourekas with a mushroom sauce (yum!).

What do you think of it so far, and what else should I make to round out the meal?

How about vegetable soup?

I think a veggie platter with dip is a good idea as well.
