How much do u pay ur cleaning lady in fl?

was wondering how much is normal to pay a cleaning lady in the miami,fl area... I have a 2 bdrm smallish sized apt... the most it takes yo clean it all is 3/12 to 4 hrs. I would have her once a week....she claims that $10 is way too little.... am I really paying her too little?

I live in Miami. I have never paid more then $10/ hr. and have had excellent help at this price. I do know some people who pay more though. My MIL paid her old housekeeper $12/hr. and now has somebody who gets $15/ hr. They are not any better then my $10/ hr. lady though so I think it's a bit crazy.

I live in the Miami area. I don't have cleaning help now (I wish I did), but when I did it was either $10 an hour or a set price for the house.

I recently moved from Miami Beach. I was paying $10/hour about six years ago. Lately I was not able to find for less than $12, and I know my cleaning lady was planning to ask for a raise before I gave her notice.

They should be happy with $10 an hour in today's economy. The minimum wage is less than $8.
And there are plenty who will work for $10. an hour. Try word of mouth.....
In NY no one is paying more than $10.
In Miami, I refuse to pay more than $10.

Most people I know in NY are paying $12 an hour.
