If ds had fever yesterday and possibly still felt warm at bedtime, but was fine all night and this morning, is it unfair to have his speech therapist come today?

If he seems okay today, I see no reason to cancel his therapy.

I'd cancel, or at least give the therapist a heads-up about your child's condition so that she could decide for herself. A person should be well for 24 hours before they are not considered contagious. Your child may be feeling fine, but it's unfair to expose the therapist to a possible illness, without warning her first. She may still want to come, but it should be her call.

Tell the therapist what you told us, and let her decide if she wants to come. On the one hand, she may not want to risk getting sick (and passing it on to her family, as well as the other kids she treats). On the other hand, she may be willing to take the risk because she needs the money from the session.
Do you think your child will participate well in therapy today?

Can't be much worse than he usually is with her. He has trouble sitting through the sessions on his best days.
I guess I'll let her know. I already told his OT last night, so she's not coming.

Oh well. She prefers to err on the side of caution. No therapy for us today.
