Lol paid ad?
It was cute. :-D

Doubt that video was made in Brooklyn though. Looks more like another city.

I can't believe they made a video like that. It seemed so stereotypical. I didn't find it funny whatsoever!!!!!!!!!

It's true - she would do better in a Freeda (although they only last about a year and a half as per my experience) - go Deena!

A chassidishe veibele with that kind of turban, should,

a. speak more yiddish
b. not talk on cell phone on the street
c. not go shopping in a robe and turban....

This woman is so talented. Youtube had a video of someone else doing a Chaya Suri takeoff, but the young lady didn't get the accent at all. Where Deena Mann sounds like the real thing, this young lady sounded like an American--not even a New Yorker--trying to put on a Williamsburg accent without having a clue what the accent sounds like. It's not just about subbing V's for W's and oo's for aw's.

Thanks for allowing people to be who they are and not judge by what they are wearing only Rolling Eyes

I don't think kitov is criticizing chassidish women--I think she's critiquing the accuracy of the impersonation. If a chassidishe veibele wouldn't go shopping in a turban and robe, then the portrayal is not as good as it could be. If you saw an actor impersonating a yeshiva bocher wearing a tented-up satin yarmulka and asking a miniskirted girl for directions, you'd also say it's less than believable.
