Can anyone advise me on a cheap or free program to do simple graphics work? I'm not sure what I would need, if photoshop would be good or what.
Basically there are times I need to create a graphic for a newsletter or a mailing. Today for instance I needed to make a map of distribution points for Passover baskets (it is a thank you letter). I had an old map I could use, and did, but if I could have put the information on the map with icons etc. it would have looked so much better (what I wanted; map, where instead of dots marking the cities there were baskets with the name of the city and number of baskets distributed. What I ended up with was a map, with dots, and then a listing on the side. Not as pretty or effective.)
Any suggestions would be great.
