You remember in the beginning of each episode of "Little House on the Prairie" (assuming you watch tv) where Carrie, the little sister, is seen running down a hill, and stumbles? How cute.

My 22 month old daughter evidently wanted to recreate the scene, and tumbled down a hill (about 6 feet tall). She was fine afterwards, except now she is favoring her left leg. She wont run (and she ALWAYS runs), is definitely limping when she walks, and isnt walking too far, and only if we encourage her to. A few times she has stopped walking to grab her leg. She is also holding on to furniture a bit to get around, something she hasnt done in months. She isnt crying, and when I 'tested' her joints, she didnt react negatively (besides furrowing her brow when I started)

So Dr. Imamother, whats your diagnosis and recommendation?

Yes, I have a call in to her pediatrician already. waiting for the after hrs service to call back

Could be a fracture, something similar happened to my toddler earlier this year and it took us days to figure it out, poor kid. A couple xrays and a cast later, and all was better!
