Does anyone have any good techniques on how to prevent the watch from getting an odor from regular wear in the summer? I tend to sweat a lot and my last watch had to be ditched only because of the smell. I hate the bands that aren't made from leather, so that's not an option.

Other than taking it off when you're washing dishes, no suggestions.
I did want to point out that you can get replacement bands. I replace bands every 1 to 2 years.

I heard that Murphy Oil works great. Rub it in and buff it when it's new, and then clean it with it after that as well.

The Murphy Oil you use on wood floors, or is there a specific Murphy Oil for leather?

Pledge spray works for leather. Use it once a week, or as needed, and rub it in with a cloth rag.
I know there is a Murphy spray. Never knew it works for leather..

Sorry I wasn't clear. Spray a small area on a (cotton) cloth and rub it into the leather.

Use as JustPlainMe's directed for Pledge.
(Btw, Murphy Oil is a phenomenal pretreating detergent to use on very dirty clothes like white socks, babu's undershirts, etc.)
