What is a light box for checking veggies for bugs? Where can I get one? It seems like such a labor intensive procedure checking veggies for bugs!! Help!

Your ceiling light might be good enough. If it's one of those white panels with flourescent bulbs underneath.

Do a search on imamother, I'm almost positive that somebody else asked this question a few months ago! But just to answer quickly - A light box is basically a box with a light that switches on inside it. It allows u to see waht's on the vegetable easier. Most art supply stores usually carry them.
I heard once a few years ago, that Landau's in Boro Park view all their frozen brocollie and prepacked lettuces etc. thru light boxes, and are the most reliable hechsher for these things.

while were on the topic of bugs- do ppl sift their flour in the US? here in israel it is standard practice, so now that were moving to ny im wondering if I should pack my sifter
