I'm clearly in the craving part of my fast.
I recently had an orzo dish with sauteed veggies (I think it was just onion and peppers). the dressing was just slightly sweet, a very light taste. Definitely no soy sauce and did not discolor the orzo (so im assuming no ketchup in it either).
Any ideas?

Was it also slightly tangy? I would think it had a light sugar/vinegar/oil dressing.

maybe the veggies were sauted with some duck sauce. that would add sweetness and isnt a noticeable color.

In case ra mom is not around, I'll tell you what I would do
Equal parts oil, sugar and vinegar. Start out with just a little of each so it doesn't overwhelm the dish. Rice vinegar is lighter than white, if you have it. And I would add salt and pepper to taste.

Prepare the veggies and orzo separately. Toss together with dressing.
