Can't stand the word 'Blech!'. Sounds repulsive.

I'm not holding anything. And even if I were, it would most certainly not be a place. |
yiddish, my dear |
OK but if you're speaking ENGLISH to me, please use ENGLISH phraseology.

DH actually trained me to stop saying that! (he's American and I'm English.)
I can't stand 'my bad' or expressions like 'preggers'
My biggest peeves is when people say 'she won me'.

"by night" or "by day"
That's Yiddish.
It's "At night", "during the day".
I was "laying" down. Chickens do that!

That one doesn't annoy me but it does make me laugh! It makes me imagine that the person saying it wants to put some kind of explosive device in their hair. (Yeah I know that would be "blow my hair up" but still, why not just say "dry my hair?")

I'm British and an proud to say "chuna" and "chusday" all the time! I think I would find it strange If I heard a British person pronouncing those words the American way but when an American does, I don't notice it.
Similarly, the word "yet" is only used with the present perfect in British English but Americans often use it with the past simple e.g. "I didn't do my homework yet."

Not a phrase, but a grammatical error:
I despite when people add apostrophes to plurals for no reason. "Cucumber's $0.20/lb!!" Did you not complete fourth grade?
