I just found two chicken quarters in my freezer. I have absolutely no idea how long they've been in there. Can we eat them?

How do they look? Are they dried, crusted with ice, or otherwise compromised? I wouldn't eat them in that case.
Otherwise, if they still look OK, I probably would use them--my humble, non professional opinion, you understand!
