Place a bunch of frozen green beans in a pan.
Drizzle olive oil over them.
Salt them.
Bake for as long as you like - as long as they don't dry out.
Eat.
Yummmmmmmmm. As good as fries. Honest.

My favorite green beans - raw. Snap 'em and eat 'em.
But I love all green beans. I'll be making these.

I dunno. Maybe 30-40 minutes. I always forget and let them burn
LG, we don't really get fresh beans here and if we do they are super expensive and somehow, not as good as the ones in the good ol' USA. I used to love fresh beans and peas as a kid.

my favorite green beans:
blanch (boil for 4 minutes in boiling water, plunge into ice water)
then I saute minced garlic and ginger (I just use the frozen cubes), mix in the green beans and some salt and pepper.
voila! done!
always a hit.

I made these tonight - drizzled with olive oil, added salt, black pepper and garlic powder. My DH, 2 toddlers, and 2 teenage nephews loved them! (And so did I!)

I made these tonight-thanks. But...I went out to PTA and forgot about them in the oven
They were still actually quite good, and I could see how ,not burnt, they'd be great.
What kind of frozen beans-regular or french cut or does it matter?
Thanks again.

I make it with whatever beans I buy. They're all great, including cut beans.

Ok so string beans are a very frequent visitor to my table too.
They are so good and versatile and there are so many things you can do with them.
I actually do it in a pot, similar to chossidmom, only I sautee onions and then add the string beans.
I add garlic powder and b.pepper and salt before serving.
I have a real winner tho..... Last time I made these I accidentally got too excited with the spices and it needed something to balance it out. So I added crumbled up crackers.
Oooh were they delicious.
I do think I'll try doing it in the oven next time (tonight )it's probably a lot quicker..

Blanch in salted water for a minute and a half.
Ice bath
Heat half olive oil and half butter substitute in a pan. Add chopped garlic. Cook two minutes. Add the drained green beans back in and heat. S & P
I just made these. I took the recipe from the NY Times.

You start them frozen or defrost them? If defrosted, do they need to be dry?
And I'm assuming uncovered, right?
Thanks!
