I'm working too. We never have a seuda because DH or I are usually taking the kids out or I'm busy cooking. I just serve soup & kreplach to everyone at some point during the day.

THis year is my first time not working Hoshana Raba. I went home early though. So we had the seudah then. I used to hate going to work that day.

Never did in the past. Maybe this year we will. I never grew up with a seuda & I don't think DH did either, so it never occured to me.

Yeah, but Sara, we grew up Lub. (Not trying to sound nasty or stuck up btw)
Anyway, I'm starting this year. Everyone is hungry before Y"T so I'm gonna do it. I have the kreplach from Y"K in the freezer.

For where I come from, I come from a pretty "frum" family. lol. no offense taken.

It amazes me, to no end, that the people I work with, frum from Europe, during the sheital thing and even with the water thing, will say

"But my mother never filtered water", or "my mother never has such dayges about her sheital".

I mean, come on! Your mom never carried a cell phone either, that doesn't mean you aren't on it day and night!

Things change. Everyone doesn't know everything!

Yeah, but I never actually realized that you should have a seuda. I knew about kreplach & sometimes we had I think.
