Well I was born with an english name tooand I loathed it so much I went to court to have it legally changed when I was 15 years old. I literally made an appointment, took the bus downtown, stood in front of a judge and declared that I wished to change my name. Not that I ever went by it in the first place, but I definitely didn't like having it all over my legal documents. Quite embarrassing when filling out forms. I'll never know why my parents decided it was a good idea to name me after my Grandfather. Ah well, I already know my oldest daughter is going to hide her middle name forever too probably.. .
