I had a student who went through experimental treatment for pandas. I'm not sure if it solved the problem completely, but the tourette's symptoms she was developing stopped. No longer work in that school so no idea what the long term results are.

not that I know much about it but from the little I've heard/read what you wrote doesn't sound right.
most likely that's what is done when one doesn't know that the patient has pandas but thinks they have ocd instead.

Its long term antibiotic (sometimes for a month or 2) and symptoms usually go away
