I am coming to Israel this summer and want to sponsor a kiddush on Shabbos at my niece's shul. She said we could do it ourselves but I don't feel we have enough time as she is busy with a new baby and the other kids and I won't get to Israel until the Thursday before the kiddush. I'd like some suggestions as to what is generally served at a Beit Shemesh shul for a simcha and also would like names of some caterers. It is a modern orthodox shul, if that makes a difference.

Thank you for your suggestion. I had hoped to get more than one response so I will post this in the Israel forum and maybe I'll have better luck.
