Hi. I just opened my box of recipe books and found them all covered in cooking grease, so I want to get new ones.

What is YOUR favorite recipe book? I HAVE the Purple Spice and Spirit.

I'm looking for HEALTHY recipes. The book does NOT have to be a specifically kosher one. I just want to know your favorites. Please share.

The ones you USE.

Thanks in advance

Without a doubt, my favorite cook book is What's Cooking. All the recipes I've tried are really really delicious and they are easy to make, ingredients you have in the house. I don't know specifically about the healthy part, but another good cook book is the balabuste's choice, and I know it has a healthy section in it. (I have the green one, there are a few versions out there.)

Milchig- the dairy gourmet everything I make from it is outstanding!!
Fish, soup, salad, even the chocolate chip cookies are outstanding!

also it's from a restaurant so you learn to make things the way they actually taste in a restaurant.

Gatherings
http://www.amazon.com/Gatherin.....60712

Healthy Helpings - most of everything I make comes from here - VERY healthy and delicious! (kosher cookbook too)

I have Fresh and Easy and was disappointed by it.

Persian Food for the Non-Persian Bride has been good too - I've made all the salads in it and quite a few other dishes - the dafina is amazing! I wouldnt call this a "healthy" cookbook though

Joy of Cooking. It's got EVERYTHING in it, you can easily adapt for kosher cooking and also learn to improvise.
