Oh and I couldn't go near the freezer even after most of the nausea was gone because seeing the outsides of the containers of my food was enough to bring it all back. But that's a story for a different thread. Psychology of pregnancy = WEIRD.

you can also make oshpelau. I don't have a recipe, but it's basically a little bit of chicken or meat mixed in with lots of rice and carrots. it's really not expensive, especially if you buy the cheaper pieces of chicken to use. it also happens to be really really yum |
Do you have a quick version of osh pelof? The only recipe I know takes HOURS (and is done on a fire pit outside!)

this is my oshpelau recipe adapted from my mother in law who adapted it from someone else...
I have no amounts, I do it more by eye and taste.
onions
carrots
meat/chicken
rice
cumin
salt
I fry some onions with some chicken or meat (cut up into little pieces)
then I add water and julienned carrots, and let them boil until soft
then add rinsed rice, make sure there's enough water, add salt and cumin.
let rice cook... and eat!
