I am putting my kids on child health plus and now I'm thinking maybe I should do Family Health Plus. I am eligible for insurance through my employer but I would have to pay part. What are the pros and cons of one over the other?
(I would probably have to pay a premium for fhp too but wouldn't have copays that I have with private insurance)

If you're income eligible for FHP, then I would go for it.There are very small or no copays for doctors visits and medication and none for hospital visits. There are no deductibles. It's going to be cheape rin the long run.
However not all doctors(specialists) accept it.
It really depends where you live.
In Brooklyn almost all doctors accept it.

FHP will be cheaper but I don't know about "almost all" doctors accepting it. I had a very hard time finding something as basic as a good ob-gyn. I guess it depends how picky you are or what kind of needs you have.

Well, there's my answer. I have complications and need a good ob so can't go on an insuraance that might make it difficult for me to find one.
