Cottonseed oil is a very heavy oil and doesn't rate highly on the healthy oils lists, but it has a high smoke point, making it a good oil for stir-fries, and good for deep frying (e.g., for french fries) as well.

Don't use it. Toss it.
I know it sounds like wasting, but cottonseed oil is reputed to have far more pesticides than your standard vegetable oil. You will be doing your family a service by getting rid of it.
Don't feel guilty.
Unless you want to use it for shabbos licht...

It's not left over from Pesach, is it? Because that's the only time I - reluctantly, due to economics - buy it. If it is, I'd toss it. If not, I'd use it like any cooking oil - kugels, cakes, etc.

Use it for any nonfood purpose: polishing wood furniture, getting gum out of your dc hair, lubricating squeaky hardware, as a hot oil hair treatment, preventing rust from attacking your steel snow shovel...

It refers to baby oil, but you can use any oil for any of these purposes.
