the dr at tipat cholov told me to get a hip ultrasound for my 6 month old, she said its standard procedure, but everyone I spoke to never had to do it.. should I be nervous?
Where can I get in done in jerusalem, and were on Muchedet if that helps...

Yes, don't worry this is standard procedure here. (Certain Dr.'s at tipat chalav send every baby for a hip ultrasound- so it really depends who you get).
As far as where to get it done, I think the Dr. was supposed to give you a hafnaya (referral). Call up tipat chalav and see if they can give you a referral or at least the # and location of the ultrasound.

I went with one of my kids - I was told it was standard for kids that were born breech. (and he was)
it was a simple procedure and b'h everything was fine

my baby was not breached.
where can I get it done, I have a referral from the dr.

I had that with my 2nd. It was easy and b"h everything was fine. Call Meuchedet to see where to do. I did it in misgav ladach but that was 4 yrs ago. There were 2 or 3 places to choose from at that point

DS#1 I did in Misgav Ladach (almost 7 years ago though). The rest I did here locally, at Terem (with the hafnaya from a Meuchedet doc).
Some pediatricians send as a standard checkup (mine does). Others don't. The TC doc DID ask if I'd done it already, so I guess she does too.

Some doctors (like mine) request a hip ultrasound for all babies. My children were not born breach, and there was no reason to suspect any issue, so I did not do it.

In share zedek they have a clinic twice I month that checks infant hips for dysplasia
