what is an appropriate gift for a son's rebbe?
please help this it the first year my son is in a rebbe's class and ive heard diffrent things mosly peaple say money but then how much I dont want to look cheap but I also dont have a lot.

Didn't the class mother offer to collect ? That's what's been done in the past........

as far as I was able to find out no class mother there is pta for the whole school but class mothers ive havent heard about
how much do they usually collect from each parent?

I think it varied...more than I could afford to give, that's for sure!
I think for the girls it was $25, but they had two teachers at that time.
Anyone else?

In my school where my son is in Pre 1 A it's expected that each parent give $50 for the Rebbe

Since his class doesn't have a class mother why don't you initiate to collect. Have everybody give what they can and then give it to teacher in nice gift envelope - from the whole class. Then noone needs to know how much anyone gave and it will still be a nice gift.
