Today is my anniversary. Where can we go in the NY/NJ area to celebrate? Hotel and supper?

Good luck going anywhere in Manhattan tonight. It's New Year's Eve - the city is going to be incredibly crowded and the traffic will be horrific. Try to avoid it if you can.
Where are you coming from? There may be nice places closer to home.

Agree with rutabaga. DH left manhattan at 3 pm today and said it's already crazy there (around Times Square)

Even if she took public transportation, she would have trouble getting a vacancy.
OP don't you have this problem every year on your anniversary? What made you wait until the last moment?

Very possibly she's celebrating her Jewish anniversary date which THIS year coincides with New Year's but not every year.

It still seems difficult to figure out why someone would wait until the last minute New Years Eve. OP is obviously on the internet so she is not living such an insular life that she did not know the year was ending.

The Bentley hotel has a Prime restaurant on the top floor. They are not in the typical tourist area so maybe they will be less crowded tonight since the tourists all want to be at Times Square.
