It's a zany story but long story short, late Friday I got two large loaves of rye bread? I doubt they'll freeze that well....any suggestions?

make croutons. cut up, toss some olive oil, salt, garlic or any spices you wish. bake until its toasty. add to salad.yuuummm

they freeze fine, if you want you can make french toast and freeze for a few breakfasts. Someone I know makes PB sandwiches and freezes them for her kids. Its great for toast after it was frozen.

Rye bread for French toast? It's VERY seedy........
Croutons are a good idea.
Anyone else?
I don't really want to freeze it - my kids are older teens and very fussy and besides that, we live on top of a grocery store! We get fresh bread (cheaply) all the time!

I'm with the garlic bread idea - definately NOT french toast doesn't go w/rye even if no seeds.

I make french toast with rye all the time! I also never get seeded rye cuse I thing its gross...
