I think I want frost free
looking to spend up to $500 tops.

Can you wait a month?
Keep your eye out for advertisements before yom tov.
Also, before you start looking into freezers, measure the area you will be keeping it, as well as all the doorways/stairwells it will have to pass upon delivery.
That will pretty much narrow it down for you and you will be able to then pick from a very specific small group of options.
