My daughter is 10 years old has been complaining of nausea for the past 2 years and it's getting to a point where we don't know anymore what to do.
She is a bit of a drama queen and used to dramatize when she wouldn't be feeling well since she is very little, so I haven't taken her so seriously. But at this point with the constant nausea I do think that she is really suffering. She sometimes vomits too. She is also the type that gets hot very quickly and needs the open window and fresh air. (Her teacher allows her to use a clip on fan by her desk).
It mostly happens during school hours though and I get phone calls every other day that she is nauseous or in the morning before she has to go to school. She is also nauseous on days after she goes to sleep late.
I see no reason for her to being anxious about anything at the moment. She is somewhat of a worrier but not to such an extent. She does well in school bh and has friends bh.
I have taken her to the dr and he claims she's fine. We have taken basic blood tests and ruled out basic allergies.
I don't know what to do next. I don't know if I should go to an allergist or a nutritionist or a GI or take another direction.
I would really appreciate any advice and tips.

Omg I had such a classmate. Exactly what you described. Many times it came along with fainting.
I think there's a phobia name for it.

Obviously only if you ruled out a medical condition which you already said you did.

My neice had exactly this, after going to her pediatrician many tomes he finally told ber to go to a GI, she bad an endoscopy and was diagnosed with EE. What I found is that at sum point kids give up complaining if its not for real. Dont let her suffer, plscheck it out by a specialist.

Thank you.
My pediatrician had her take a blood test for some testing. Also a stool test to test for H. pylori. Hopefully we get to the bottom of this. If he finds nothing then we will go to a pediatric GI.

When my 10 year old daughter was 8 we had the same problem. The pediatric GI sent us to a neurologist. She was diagnosed with migraines ( I get them too) which show sometimes as nausea in children. She is very sensitive to fluorescent lights, and the school has worked with us on this problem. She also took preventative medicine during the school year, which helped. The migraines are starting up again at this point, so she may go back on the medicine. Hatzlocha.

Just my two cents, but 2 years of complaining complete with a fan at her desk and the occasional vomiting episode means that even if she has a tendency towards the theatrical, something is bothering her.

The reason I bolded the "he says she's fine" is because my doctor said that I was fine too. For 11 years my doctor told my mother that I was the world's greatest hypochondriac. I had migraines "twelve year olds exaggerate headaches" and I used to complain that it hurt when I moved "she's got a classic case of math-test-ittis".

In my late teens a different doctor ran a test for various autoimmune diseases.

What do you know?

It came back positive.

I'd been suffering joint pain for years, but I didn't use the word "joints". I wasn't an 80 year old with arthritis, I was 18....

If your gut says something is wrong with your child, but your doctor is poo-pooing, I'd start by finding a new pediatrician.
